Born and raised in Miami, Mateo Acosta — better known as SLUGG — has built a sound that pulls from ’90s hip-hop, raw house grooves and the unmistakable energy of Florida club culture. What started with producing music at just 15 years old has grown into appearances on some of the biggest stages in dance music. SLUGG’s résumé already includes EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, III Points, Skyline Music Festival, BPM Festival and Okeechobee, while his records have picked up support from some of house music’s biggest names, including Jamie Jones, FISHER, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, Mason Collective, Ben Sterling and Classmatic.
